When this law comes into effect there are going to be so many people out of business. Homeschooling business' that sell science kits, premade lapbook kits etc. Even the woman that writes for Apolgia science is posting that this is going to make it hard for her and Apologia to keep the prices down on their new books.

I have seen that people on some groups are saying that the thrift stores etc don't have to worry, that they are exempt, but if you were to read what law says this is far from true. If the thrift store sells the products and they DO have more lead than allowed they can still be held accountable. Sure sell the products, but if we catch you watch out! Nobody is exempt. If you have a yard sale and the "Lead police" come a knocking and you are selling something that you had no clue had lead, off to prison you go!

I am afraid of the Library systems throughout the USA. Us homeschoolers use them for everything. If the law states "Anything that is made for children 0 to 12 years........" books are included. How in the world is the library going to make money selling their childrens books at the sales? How are they going to legally open their doors and let children take out the books that they love to read?

This law needs to be changed! Maybe they should throw it out and start over, maybe it should read on the docks or where ever FOREIGN things are brought through the borders "NO IMPORTS!!" Stop China and Taiwan and other foreign places from trying to poision our kids through their toys, formula, chocolate etc.....Bring back MADE IN THE USA for the final time!

And what about the shots that are kids are required to get? Haven't they said there is lead in them? Mercury? Something that isn't good for them! Are they going to police them too?
